It is so long since I have put any of Emma's art up, to my shame, as she never stops drawing and painting and is developing her artistic skill as each week goes by! I just cannot keep up. Her most recent endeavour is her first canvas. Here are some shots of her working on it. She is copying a difficult photograph and is trying to do shading too. Emma has never had any painting lessons before. She does her own mixing and blending etc ....by instinct. It is still a work in progress, I will try and put up the finished work asap when all is done!
Hello Emma-Jane
ReplyDeleteI love this painting! I think your painting style where you have to stand back to look at the painting is great. When it is like this and it is made up of lot's of strokes that you have to look at from a distance this it is called impressionist painting style. Maybe you could look up what artist have the impressionist style, do you think it might give you a few ideas? I like the impressionist style the best out of all kinds of paintings and I love the way your horse painting is nice and bright and happy.
Keep up the good work and remember that you are painting for God and don't worry about how good you think it is. I think your work is good and as long you are doing your best for God that's all that matters!

Hello Emma!
ReplyDeleteYou don't know me, but I am also an artist and I live in the U.S. I found your blog and hope it is all right for me to comment on your it.
What a talented young lady you are!! Your artwork is all beautiful, but I love the horses the most, especially this painting. You are doing such a great job mixing the colors and I really like your style of painting. The photos of you working are fun and interesting, too. It will be exciting to see the finished work.
God has blessed you with a special, very important gift and I am so glad to see that you are working hard to be the very best you can be. I am looking forward to seeing more of your lovely artwork.
Thank you for your comments. Your art is good too. Today we will try and put more art up on my blog. I hope to finish the horse painting soon. Love from Emma-Jane
